Founded in 1994 by the City University of Hong Kong and a group of engineering researchers, the TeleEye Group is principally engaged in the development, sales and marketing of innovative products that make use of advanced signal processing technologies. TeleEye Holdings Limited (SEHK: 8051) was listed in the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited in 2001. Signal Communications Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary company of TeleEye Holdings Limited, is the main operation arm of the TeleEye Group. The Group is the first publicly traded spin-off from an academic institution in Hong Kong. The listing further enhanced TeleEye's brand awareness and marked a historical event as TeleEye was the first hi-tech company nurtured by a local government sponsored university in Hong Kong. It offers a wide range of remote visual management systems with extensive application in various industries under well-established "TeleEye" or "CAMERIO" brand name.
